What happens at a treatment?

Safety: Before the massage begins, I will ask you a few questions to make sure that it is safe to massage and find out if there are any areas to avoid. Allow up to 15 minutes for the consultation at your first session. It is free and does not count towards your massage time.

Modesty: I will leave the room while you get changed. You will be covered by towels throughout the massage - only the area I am working on will be exposed. And please don't fret about your body - I am used to working on all shapes, sizes and ages.

A bespoke service: the customer is always right!

Pressure: When it comes to massage, one size doesn't fit all. Some people love deep pressure, while others find that too painful. I will check in with you during the treatment to make sure you're comfortable.

Areas you'd like massaged: We agree the areas you would like to be massaged during the consultation. No point rushing through a full-body massage when it's your neck that's killing you!

Music: Feel free to bring one of your favourite CDs. If you don't, I have plenty of relaxing music for you to choose from, including classical, jazz, sounds of nature, dance chill-out and Brazilian. Alternatively, you may prefer silence or to chat. It's up to you!

Scent: If you wish, I can scent the room with essential oils. My favourites are lemon and lavender. I'll ask you about your preferences during the consultation.
